The line-up
Most households begin at the kitchen tap, add the shower within a year, then graduate to whole-house. You do not need all three on day one.

Every Filter Daddy system is built in three levels. Higher is not automatically better — more media costs more and, on some systems, slows the flow. FD-5 is what we ship by default because it covers what most reports actually turn up.
FD-3 Essential
Chlorine, sediment, taste
The everyday upgrade for supply that is already decent but tastes of the pipe.
FD-5 Advanced
Adds PFAS, lead, pesticides, microplastics
What most homes should be running. The default on every system we ship.
FD-7 Maximum
Adds VOCs, chloramine, optional fluoride
For problem catchments, bore water, or anyone who wants the belt and braces.
A spent cartridge is an expensive tube. Buy refills in multi-packs to bring the unit price down, or put them on Daddy Duty and save 20% forever with free shipping and a recycling pouch in every box.

Real reviews from real customers
Bath time stopped being a fight
Two weeks in and bath time stopped being a fight. My daughter's skin isn't angry and red after the tub anymore.
Council report showed PFAS
Our council report showed PFAS. Installed it myself in about twenty minutes and the water tastes like nothing, which is exactly the point.
Graduated from the kitchen unit
Started with the kitchen unit, graduated to whole-house a year later. Kettle has zero scale now. The consult was genuinely useful rather than a sales call.
Stopped buying bottled water
We were spending close to forty dollars a month on bottled water. That line item is gone and the coffee is measurably better.
No pressure loss at all
Was worried it would choke the shower. It didn't. Only reason it's four stars is I wish the indicator ring was easier to read in a dim bathroom.
The refill plan is the whole thing
I forgot to change filters for two years in our old house. Now a box turns up before it's due and I swap it in a minute.
Customer service actually answered
Had an odd tap thread and sent a photo through. They confirmed the adapter and shipped it in the box at no charge.
Sized properly, not upsold
They looked at our report and told us we didn't need the softener stage. Saved us six hundred dollars on a system they could have just sold us.
Daddy Duty refill plan
One plan covers every Filter Daddy in your home. We hold your install dates, price cartridges 20% below one-offs, and ship them before performance drops.

Questions, answered properly
Treated town supply is microbiologically safe — that is not the issue. What it also carries is the chlorine or chloramine used to keep it that way, whatever it picked up from the pipes, and in a growing number of catchments, PFAS. Read your utility report before you buy anything, including from us.
FD-3 handles chlorine, sediment and taste. FD-5 adds PFAS, lead, pesticides and microplastics — this is what most homes should be on. FD-7 adds VOCs, chloramine and an optional fluoride stage. Higher is not automatically better.
Start at the kitchen tap with Drink Daddy. It is the cheapest way to fix the water you ingest, it installs without a plumber, and it tells you whether filtration makes a noticeable difference. Roughly seven in ten customers add Bath/Shower Daddy within a year.
Drink Daddy every 6 months or 2,800 litres. Bath/Shower Daddy every 3 months. Big Daddy takes an annual sediment swap with a media bed rated for around five years.
Drink Daddy and Bath/Shower Daddy, yes — twenty minutes and two minutes respectively. Big Daddy is a main-line tie-in and must be done by a licensed plumber.
No. RO wastes three to four litres for every litre it makes and strips minerals. Our carbon-block approach targets the contaminants people are actually asking about without the waste.
Treated town water is safe to drink. That is not the same as saying it is pleasant, or that it is free of the things people are now testing for. Between the treatment plant and your tap, water travels through kilometres of main, a service line of unknown age, and whatever plumbing the last owner installed. It arrives carrying the chlorine or chloramine used to keep it sterile, sometimes lead or copper from the pipe, and in a growing number of catchments, PFAS.
A filter is not a health product and we will not sell it as one. It is a way of deciding what your household drinks and bathes in, rather than accepting whatever the network delivers. The useful question is not "is my water bad" but "what specifically is in it, and is that something I want to remove". That is why every conversation here starts with your water quality report rather than a product page.
Work through four things in order. First, the point of use: drinking water, bathing water, or everything. Second, the contaminant list from your report. Third, the Reduction Level that covers that list without over-spending. Fourth, the cartridge interval and what it costs you annually, because that recurring number matters far more over five years than the price on the box.
Filter media has a finite capacity. A carbon block that has adsorbed everything it can hold does not fail loudly — it simply stops working. Performance falls off well before anything looks wrong, which is exactly why the majority of filters in Australian homes are past their rated life right now. Buying the filter is a one-off decision. Changing it is the habit that determines whether you got anything for your money, and it is the reason the Daddy Duty plan exists.
